Two points of view

paper, banner, print,
1.8 х 2 х 1.5 m
To see the depth, two points of view are needed.

To see the work in its entirety, one need to visit the viewer's point of view and at the participant's point of view.

The work presents a cube with randomly dotted autostereograms on its faces. Each face encodes a depth map of three-dimensional apple, as if the apple were inside a cube.

The effect of a three-dimensional object in a two-dimensional image is achieved due to binocular vision, that is, it is the result of the total information from two points of view: the left and right eyes.
As a background, the image of Magritte’s “Son of Man” is chosen as the image. The background is also a stereogram, with the repeating words “look”, which are formed in the volume word “see”.
The volumetric word encrypted in the background can be discerned only from the point of the viewer.
To see the volumetric object, bring the picture close to your eyes so that the sheet touches your nose. Then look through the image, slowly moving the picture away from your face.
